Today is day one of FITC – as always, very busy and fun!
The morning started off with what we thought would be an interesting track on iPhone development. It turns out, that James Edberhardt opened up his presentation with saying that this will not be on the iPhone development in Flash CS5.
Why?
Section 3.3.1 in Apple’s iphone OS4 agreement. Which states (more or less) that apps only built in Object-C will be only able to run on the iPhone. In other words, if you built an iPhone app in Flash CS5, you could not run it on the iPhone!
Adobe publicly announced, that they will discontinue support and development on the iPhone Flash CS5 project.
In the end, James showed us some cool features within Flash CS5 when developing for other mobile platforms.
