A mobile app is being developed specifically to meet the Air Canada Component of CUPE‘s needs, orchestrated by Josh, the Production Manager, and his team. One standout feature is its’ offline access: once installed, the app downloads essential files, allowing staff to view critical documents even when there’s no cell signal. This feature is especially valuable for flight attendants who frequently work in areas with limited connectivity.
Additionally, a grievances web application is in progress, designed in close collaboration with the Air Canada Component of CUPE. Through a detailed planning session, this app simplifies the grievance process, making it more intuitive for members to file and track their cases. The emphasis on user-friendliness ensures members can navigate the system with ease, improving the overall grievance resolution experience.

The Air Canada Component of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), represents more than 10,000 flight attendants at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge. Our members are based in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.
Our union focuses on the unique needs of our members who are advocating and protecting the security of our passengers.
We want our members to have the highest possible wage standards, job security, and conditions of employment. The Air Canada Component of CUPE administers and enforces the collective agreement; we ensure that our members are consistently and thoroughly trained and updated, not only to protect their own safety and security, but also that of our passengers.
